medium
Description
Commonly, in kirtans, three rounds of a standing rythym are played, followed by Tehai. 8-beat mantra often used in the medium to fast part of a kirtan. Keherwa Taal and Bhajani Taal are both 8-beat rhythm cycles (matras) commonly used in Hindustani music, but they differ primarily in their application, feel, and specific bols (syllables). Bhajani Taal is essentially a specific variation or sub-type of Keherwa designed specifically for devotional songs
