Invocation It is complete there, it is complete here. Complete arises from that which is complete. Once Complete is taken from the Complete, What remains is still complete. Isha Upanishad Isha inhabits all, whatsoever that moves in this dynamic universe. We should enjoy that which we have received from its sacrifice, Do not long for any other person’s wealth. Doing what is to be done, One should wish to live a hundred years. It is in you and not otherwise, Actions do not cling to a man. Sunless are those worlds, covered in blind darkness, That ones go to who slay their souls. That, unmoving, moves swifter than thought. Even Gods cannot reach as it goes ever in front. That, standing, passes others that run. It is in Its waters that Matarishva sprints. That moves and That moves not. That seems far and yet That is near. That which is within this all, Is as well outside it. He who sees all of creation within themselves, And Self no different from all of creation, There is nothing that remains hidden from him. He who understands that all of creation is no different from the Self, How can there be any attachment or grief, Where one sees just oneness. That has gone out, that which is bright, bodiless, without scar or imperfection, without sinews, pure, unpierced by evil. The Seer, the Thinker, the One who becomes all, the Self-existent who has ordered objects according to their nature from the very beginning. Into blind darkness enter those who persist in Ignorance, Yet into a greater darkness go those, Who devote themselves to Knowledge alone. That which comes from Knowledge is different From that which comes from Ignorance. So the wise have told us and revealed to our understanding. He who knows That as both Knowledge and Ignorance, Through Ignorance crosses over death and, Through Knowledge enjoys immortality. Into blind darkness enter those who go after Non-existence, Yet into a greater darkness go those who go after Existence. That which comes from Existence is different, From that which comes from Non-existence. So the wise have told us and revealed to our understanding. He who knows That as both Existence and Non-Existence, Through Non-Existence crosses over death and, Through Existence enjoys immortality. Covered by a golden lid is the face of Truth. That, Pushan, you must remove to see the True Law. O sole seer, O ordainer, O illuminating sun, O power of the master of creatures, marshal your rays, Draw together your light; the lustre which is your most blessed form, That in You I behold, the Purusha both there and here, (Sohamasmi) That am I. Vayu and Anil are immortal, This body’s destination is ashes. Remember the purpose, remember what was done. Remember the purpose, remember what was done. Agni, lead us, the people of Deva, By the good path to clear knowledge, Remove from us the devious attraction of sin. To you we submit our speech.
