lokābhirāmaṃ raṇaraṅgadhīraṃ rājīvanetraṃ raghuvaṃśanātham .
kāruṇyarupaṃ karuṇākarantaṃ śrīrāmacandraṃ śaraṇaṃ prapadye
I take refuge in Sri Ramachandra, who is beloved of all people, who is steadfast in battle, whose eyes are like lotuses, who is the lord of the Raghu dynasty,
who is the embodiment of compassion, and who showers mercy.
